Every year, we celebrate the Feast of All Saints, where we remember those saints who have led the way before us, honor their lives and deaths, and rejoice in our continued communion with them as members of the body of Christ.

We also celebrate the worldwide church and the community of saints today and we receive new “saints” into the life of the church in baptism and membership. We have a number of opportunities for you to join in the celebration of this “principal feast” at Rez.

All Saints’ Bonfire and Storytelling Night

We are gathering the evening of Saturday, November 2nd from 7-10pm for a night of storytelling by the fire where some of us will recount stories about the saints in our lives and encounters with God.

This has become a Rez tradition and is loads of fun -- with stories about historical saints, contemporary activists, impactful family members, and remarkable events shared amongst friends with snacks, drinks, and a crackling fire pit. Come to just listen in or to share a story about a saint in your life with us!

Bring a snack or drink to share, a camping chair, and your favorite tale to share!

In baptism, we proclaim the mystery that is at work: the translation of God’s people from death to life by being plunged into Christ’s death and resurrection and being incorporated into God’s church.

On Sunday, November 3rd, we will be celebrating baptisms in our service. If you are interested in learning more about baptism, if you would like to be baptized, or if you would like to have your child baptized, fill out the form below so we can reach out to you!

Baptisms on All Saints’ Day

What does it mean to join the work of God through a community of faith? For us, a big part of that is membership, which is a way to belong, grow, and serve alongside others in the name of Christ to express the love of God to our South Austin neighborhood.

That's our project. This is what we mean by "Life Together in the Goodness of God."  We will be receiving new members into the life of the church on All Saints’ Day on November 3rd.

Are you interested in becoming a member at Rez?  Mark your calendar for our membership class on Sunday, October 27, and email Ryan if you are interested in membership!

Remembering the Departed on All Saints’

On All Saints' Day, we also remember those who have died in the past year. If you have someone you know who was a follower of Jesus who died in the past few years, please submit their name here so we can pray for them by name during the service.  We will also have a special table under our All Saints' icon in the service--bring a picture of your loved one, or email Angela with a picture and she can print it out for you, and place it on the table, light a candle, and pray as a way to remember and honor them.

On November 3rd, after the service, we are bringing back our “Y'all Saints” potluck and world famous annual Y'all Saints Chili Cook-off! Everyone is invited to to cook your favorite chili and and compete for the highly coveted "Y'all Saints Golden Crockpot of Glory" and legendary second place "Y'all Saints Ladle of Joy"  The rest of us will sample and vote on the chilis to see who wins!  This year, we are adding a category to the cook-off: participants can now compete for best vegan chili!

Help us throw the party!
We have a signup for other food items, as well as serving opportunities to help with setup, helping serve food, and cleanup afterwards! Our middle and high school students are invited to help serve at the potluck as well as our adults.
